Forming Melds

A meld is a valid combination of cards — either a set (three or four cards of the same rank) or a sequence (three or more consecutive cards in the same suit). Lay melds on the table as you form them.

Calling "Tongits!"

If you empty your hand completely — all cards either melded or discarded — you call "Tongits!" and win the round automatically. This is the strongest win condition in the game.

Calling a Fight

Any player can call a "fight" (sapak) on their turn instead of drawing. All players reveal their remaining hand cards. The player with the lowest total card value wins the round.

Pile Runs Out

If the central draw pile is exhausted without anyone calling Tongits or a fight, the round ends automatically. The player with the lowest unmelded hand value takes the pot.
